The Four Criteria For Creating Biblical Community

by Dale Partridge

A biblical community is the natural result of people behaving and thinking like Jesus. Biblical community is not a culture that is friendly to the flesh; It’s a spiritual culture. Many Christians say they desire a biblical community, so in this episode, Dale and Veronica present what it truly takes in order to create it, and an opportunity for you to examine if you would thrive in or end up leaving a biblical community.

Scriptures Referenced:

  • 2 Tim 3:16-17 “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
  • Psalm 11:3 “If the foundations be destroyed, What shall the righteous do”?
  • Matthew 22:37-38 “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment.”
  • Hebrews 5:12-14 “12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
  • Galatians 6:1 “Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness”
  • 2 Timothy 4:2 “Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.
  • James 5:19-20 “Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, 20 let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.”
  • Galatians 5:17 “For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.”
